Henry Knight

Henry Buchi Ike, popularly know as Henry Knight, originally from Imo, Nigeria, was born on May 20th in the city of Lagos. He attended Awodi-Ora Secondary School, Ajegunle and went on to study Computer Science at the National Open University of Nigeria.

He started singing professionally in 2004 with a group called “THE KNIGHT” which was signed under Dove Entertainment owned by renowned Nigerian producer Nelson Brown. In 2008, he left the group to start his solo career as ‘Henry Knight’.

Henry Knight caught his first break on a collaboration with Baba Dee, on a song titled ‘Gum Body (Ye Ma Sa)’. Soon after he became popular for his melodious and catchy hooks and worked with artists such as Sound Sultan, Rugged Man, W4, African China and many more.

He dropped “Shako” in 2013, and it became a hit on radio and in clubs all over. He followed strongly with songs such as ‘Olopa’, ‘Bami Mujo’ featuring Yung L and Patoranking’, and the remix of ‘Olopa’ which featured Di’Ja, Yemi Alade and Joe El. His most recent offering ‘Damilohun’ was released on May 20th 2016.

Shortly after releasing ‘Damilohun’, Henry Knight scored a record deal with new music label, Matt Westside Records.
